THE REVIEW

What I thought: very strong episode. My first with Reece as the lead and I thought this worked very well indeed. The interactions between Reece and his Mum (so well played by Nerys Hughes) are brilliant throughout and although I dont really get what all this ‘prince’ business was about it was a great fun, high stakes yet a very intermate episode. Mr Tate and Mr Nicols are great fun as well, well played and both injecting lots of detail and character into what are fairly small parts. There are again hints at a bigger conspiracy going on underneath everything and this continues to bubble away. I don’t think I always get all the references and subtle stuff in these adventures, unlike Who, as I can’t remember Torchwood on TV that well. Nonetheless BF production valuse shine here.

Rating: 4 out of 5 drips – Very strong episode, great fun and great performances all round. I really enjoyed this one, highly recommended.

What I felt: happy and amused for an hour, what more could i ask…

What am I left thinking?

  • How will all these tie together (or will they ever??)
  • Will we see Reeces Mum again?!? i sincerely hope so!

Memorable bits

  • Nerys Hughes is bloody brilliant!
  • The cleaners sound proper scary
  • Great acting here with such a small cast
