Context: This was a listen on holiday, so did this all in a week, mostly running along the Devon country lines in the sunshine, well run/walking to be more accurate. Been a while since my last Gallifrey listen but I started a year ago to start this series, massive enjoyment throughout.

THE REVIEW

What I thought:.really great box set, big fun and 4 pretty unique stories with the overall arc of the Gallifrey crew moving from one alternative Gallifrey to the next in order to try to work out how to make good the virus released at the end of the last series of stories. We therefore see alternative versions of most of the characters, in particular I liked the Interigator Prime Leela and Lord Burner alternative sixth doctor. We get a sense of how Brax ends up with Benny (possibly linking to early Benny adventures, which I haven’t listened to, yet). There is a Vampire Lord Master, with children, and some scary Romana’s (as well a lush/pissed up Romana 1). Great fun throughout each episode. Not sure what happens next, with our team pretty much smashed to pieces.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Daleks – very solid boxset, great alternative versions of Gallifrey, with some brilliant alternate versions of the master, Susan, leela etc.

What I felt: Very pleased I started this Gallifrey journey, I am super happy there are a load more to go, although there I was frustrated at not getting all the references to past BF listens I haven’t gone back to/haven’t listened to yet. But, didn’t spoil what is a really good fun box set

What am I left thinking?

• Will Brax be in these stories anymore?
• I have literally no idea where we go from here?!?!
